The arcade plays tall, not wide.

The short version. Gambits is a place to run prediction games with people you know. It is free to play, and it is a scoreboard, not a bank and not a bookmaker: there is nothing to pay, and it never takes, holds, or pays out money.
Be decent to the other players, do not use Gambits for anything illegal, and understand that a gambit link works for anyone who has it.
By creating an account, joining a gambit as a guest, or otherwise using Gambits, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you use Gambits on behalf of a group, you confirm you have the authority to agree on your own behalf.
Gambits lets one person — the commissioner — set up a gambit, share a link, and let friends play. There are eight formats: squares, bingo, picks, over/unders, props, ranker, Counter, and Collection Race. Players make their plays, the commissioner enters what actually happened — or players update their own Counter and Collection progress — and Gambits works out who won. Gambits can be grouped into a one-off Series or a recurring Season. Scavenger hunts were retired on 15 August 2026; existing hunts keep working, but no new ones can be created.
Gambits provides the board and the scorekeeping. Everything else — who is invited, what the gambit is about, and what the house rules say — is decided by your group.
This section is the important one.
You are responsible for knowing whether what your group is doing is legal where you all live. If it is not, do not do it here.
You can play as a guest with no email address, or save an account with Apple, Google, or an email and password. Keep your credentials to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
A guest account lives on one device and cannot be recovered. If it matters to you, save it.
One person, one account. Do not impersonate someone else, and do not pick a display name or player tag designed to look like another player or like Gambits itself.
The commissioner runs a gambit: they set it up, invite players, enter outcomes, and finalize the result. If you take that role, you agree to call it honestly. Gambits records what you enter; it has no way to check whether it is true.
Commissioners can hand the role to another player. Once a gambit is finalized, its result is locked.
Gambits, Series, and Seasons are unlisted. There is no public game directory — the link is the invitation, and anyone holding a public link can open it and see who is playing. Private links carry a separate invitation capability. Share links only with people you actually want in the group, and understand that anyone you send one to can pass it on.
You keep ownership of what you put into Gambits — your display name, your photos, your gambit titles, Collection Race labels, and the house rules you write. You give us permission to store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of running the service and showing it to the other players in your gambits. Nothing more.
Do not post content that:
Hunt proof photos frequently contain other people. Only upload a photo you have the right to share with the players in that gambit.
We automatically reject some prohibited text, and players can report content or block another player in the app. We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Automated filters are not perfect, and we do not review every gambit before it runs.
Do not:
Gambits is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that it will be free of bugs, or that a result will always be calculated the way you expected. Playing requires a live connection — nothing is queued while you are offline, because claims are first-come-first-served.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may stop offering the service. Where a change is significant, we will try to give reasonable notice.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Gambits is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or any amount of money changing hands between you and other players. Because Gambits is free to use, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is nothing.
Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Profile settings. What happens to your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm someone.
We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use Gambits after that means you accept the new terms.
The governing law and the venue for disputes are to be confirmed before launch. The operating entity is named in the Privacy Policy.
